My favourites for the month of July 2013...

Hello,

Today I have all the beauty related products I have been loving in this past month. I have never done one of these before so apologies if I do something wrong.

Anyway, the first product is the Umberto Giannini Beauty Secrets Overnight Beauty Moisture Balm. This product is great in the mornings if my hair is a bit frizzy. Lately I have been having my hair in wavy, for the brilliant sunshine Britain as recently been experiencing, but when I shake out the waves my hair gets a bit puffy and the waves can disappear, but this moisture balm does the trick, and brings the waves back. It smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft and does not make it heavy at all! I got mine in a set at Christmas, but you can buy yours at Boots.

My next favourite is bendy rollers from Poundland. they come in packs of eight, with four short and four long. These are great if your don't want to get up early in the morning and curl your hair and they are brilliant if you want to minimise the amount you use heat on your hair. I had used these type of rollers before but they didn't quite work out, but I found a video by Stilababe09 and she inspired me to try them out again. In the video, Meredith talks you through the right way to put them in and how to take them out with out destroying the curls. The result of these curls is voluminous, bouncy curls that last all day. I have also been loving the hair clip in the photo below. I got these in a pack of four for 99p from B&M bargains. These are great when I want to wear my hair down but get it out of my face.

The next thing I have been loving this month is Osiris Avise Apricot Exfoliating Facial Scrub. This not only smells great but makes your face feel amazing. This is a scrub with quite large pieces but if you use it gently then its remains quite a soft scrub. Because it is quite coarse so if you are in need of a good clean then this is for you. This scrub is also very moisturising which can make it very heavy so I have started to use it once or twice a week instead of everyday. I bought mine from B&M Bargains from 99p which means that it is an absolute bargain for the size and quality of the product.

Another favourite of mine is the Avon Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. This shampoo and conditioner is amazing separately but when used together I don't think they give the same level of nourishment but I would still recommend them as separately they work fantastically. They both smell great and after you have used them your hair feels AMAZING. The conditioner works the best when you leave it in for a few minutes.

I have another conditioner that I have been loving this month and it is from Aldi and I think it is 70p but it is no more than £1. Once again, leaving it for a few minutes brings out the best in this conditioner. It smells great and is amazing considering for the price.

My last favourite of the month is the Skin Therapy 2-in-1 Cleanser and Toner. This product is light, refreshing and powerful. It requires minimal effort to take off makeup and it leaves your skin feeling very clean. Like many other of my products that I like it is under £1.

I hope you have enjoyed my post and I hope you are looking forward to more posts,

I'm back...

Hello
I need to apologise for my lack of posts, I thought that once my exams were over I would have a lot more time to write posts but it turns out that the start of year 13 (even though I'm still in year 12) is just as crazy busy. But now that I am on summer holiday for six weeks, I am planning a range of different beauty inspired posts.

I hope you enjoy my upcoming posts!

Beauty Haul...

Hello,

So in the marvellous month of May I have done a fair bit of beauty shopping. Most of it is necessities but there is a few items that are things that I have wanted to try for a while. The shops that I have been to is Home Bargains and Wilko's and I also placed an order with my local Avon lady.

I will start with Wilko's as I only bought one product from there and it is a refill of my favourite exfoliating scrubs. It is the Skinology Tea Tree face scrub. I love this scrub, its refreshing and gentle. I have a full review HERE. This has been a favourite for a while. For this bottle, it was only 99p.

The last place that bought products from was Home Bargains. This shop is only in the U.K as far as I know but for people who don't know it sells branded goods for a discounted price. I love going for a look around and I always find something new to buy. There is two products that I always buy from there on a regular basis. The first is my favourite shampoo. I have also talked about this one HERE. It is a tea tree shampoo that is invigorating and makes you hair feel cleaned. The only problem is that sometimes it makes your hair feel too clean, but a bit if conditioner sorts it out. The shampoo was 99p I believe.

The second regular product is Batiste's dry shampoo in Blush. This product make you hair feel fresh and it also makes it smell AMAZING!, and for £1.49 you can't complain. The scent that I bought this time makes me think of coconuts and floral scents, and I love coconut scents.

The last product that I bought was a new discovery of mine. It is the Urban Therapy 'twisted sista' curl activator, for 99p. This product is meant to enhance curls in naturally curly hair, perms or afros. I haven't had it long and I am still figuring out the best way to use it.

I placed quite a large order from Avon. I found  very good deal in the latest campaign. There was the an offer on for three of Avon's Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil products for £5. That offer is not running any more but there is still deals available. The deal included the shampoo and conditioner, which are currently £1.60 each and the mask that is now £3.30. I have used them a couple of times so a review is on the way. I also purchased a new mascara. I ordered the Color Trend Lash in Flash mascara in the shade "Black". I think that I paid £2-3 for it but I think that it was on offer. On the Avon website it is £4.50. It claims to lengthen and I don't know whether its because I have short eyelashes but they look amazing. A full review will be on its way. The last item that I bought was double ended makeup brush. it has a flat shader brush and on the other end it is a small foam smudging tool. I believe that it was priced around £3.50.

I hope you enjoy, comment with your favourite new purchase recently,
Ellie X

My Everyday Makeup...

Hello,

This post is going to be a post about my everyday basic makeup. I'm going to say now that it is not that exciting because I'm studying for my A-levels I don't have much time in the morning and I don't always feel like wearing much makeup at school. But I do have a few products that I use everyday.

When I come to do my makeup I cleanse and moisturise and the reach for my concealer. The concealer I use is the Rimmel London' Hide the blemish' concealer. This is a medium-high coverage, creamy concealer. I use it on any blemishes, around my nose, under my eyes and I also use to even out my eyelids as it do not wear eye shadow on a daily basis.

If I have any super red blemishes I use this green concealer/ corrector from Boots' Natural collection. This is a great product as it is only £1.99 but it leaves a slightly green tinge in my skin. You have to be careful with the product it self as the stick can  be quite weak and mine snapped within a few days.

I then tight line my upper water line using either a black or brown kohl liner. I usually steer towards the black as it has a slightly longer staying time. But if I am feeling a more natural look I use a small amount of eyeliner in the outer corner of my waterline. This makes my eyelashes look slightly thicker and gives a smoky effect.

I then curl my eyelashes using an eyelash curler that I bought for either 99p or £1.99... I cant remember. But it works as well as any other but you do have to be careful as it is quite long and if you're concentrating properly you can pinch your face.

I then use my favourite powder all over my face. The powder I use is Stila's Smooth skin. I bought this as a refill from my local Poundland but I love it! This powder has a small level of coverage which is good as I use it mainly to set my foundation. It also has a SPF of 15 which is convenient as it is recommended to use SPF everyday.

The last thing that I do is to apply a small amount of mascara. One mascara that I absolutely love is Avon's Supershock mascara. I love this mascara as it gives a very natural look which gives length and volume. I don't have the longest lashes but using this mascara makes them look lovely. I have recently switched back to my Elizabeth Arden mascara. I'm not sure of the name but it is double ended and gives length but no so much volume. I have just ordered a new one so a review will be on its way.

This is my everyday makeup. I hope you enjoyed,

My Favourite Products For Taking My Makeup Off...

Hello,

This is going to be a short post about a couple of products I use on daily basis to remove my makeup. I have a tight budget for make up so I usually turn to Wilkinson's (UK readers will know the shop) for my beauty products.

The first product is the Skin Therapy eye makeup remover. This has a very liquid consistency. I apply this to a cotton pad and squeeze out the excess (it stings if you get it in your eye) and then press it on to my closed eye for a few seconds and the sweep gently down and wipe repeatedly until all my makeup had come off. I do this for both eyes and I also wipe underneath slightly to remove and fall out. This product works great for 99p a bottle and last you along time.

The second product that I use is to take my face makeup off. The products is Skin Therapy 2-in-1 cleanser and toner. this works amazingly and because it is stored in my bathroom when I use it is cold. This makes it really refreshing and makes your skin feel very clean and soothed. I also use this in a cotton pad, which are from Wilkinson's as well. These cotton pads have a slightly rougher side which is great for exfoliating. These cotton pads are great value as they are about 80p for approximately 80.

If I do this at night I use my E45 replenishing care body cream. This is a thick moisturiser that I think is supposed to be for the body but my face often gets very dry and sore so I use this all the time to keep the moisture levels up. I have also tried other moisturisers in my price range but I find them to watery. I could only find this one but I believe it is similar, the link is here.

I hope you enjoy,

My Current Hair Routine!

Hello,

So I thought I would write a post about my current hair routine on a very tight budget. My current routine also includes one of my new favourite products!

My current products
The first thing that I do when I wash my hair is to make sure my hair is wet all the way through. I have quite thick hair so it takes a while to wet it all. I then reach for my tea tree shampoo with peppermint oil. Both peppermint oil and tea tree shampoo have major benefits for the skin and hair. Tea tree oil can moisturise the hair and the scalp and also promotes hair growth. The peppermint oil also has the same sort of benefits. this shampoo has a rather jelly-like texture and lathers up very well. When I'm using this shampoo I massage it really well into my scalp which makes it feel super duper clean. It makes your scalp feel clean and refreshed when you have rinsed it out.

89p from Home Bargains (for UK readers)

The second product I reach for is my is my sleek and shine conditioner from Aldi. Some people may think that Aldi are just about the food but I have found one of my favourite conditioners. This smells great and if you leave it in for a few minutes then your hair will smell and feel AMAZING! And for around the same price as the shampoo you cannot complain!

When I get out if the shower after washing my hair I wrap it in a towel while I moisturise my face and get ready for bed. Once I have had my hair in a towel for about five minutes I dry my hair further to take out the excess moisture. I then take three pumps of my Avon Moroccan argan oil leave-in treatment and one pump of my dry ends treatment from Avon and warm it between my palms and then apply it to my hair working from the tips up. I then make sure that it is evenly distributed by brushing my hair with a wide tooth comb.

I hope you enjoy,
